IDFA Viewer Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 15, 2026.

IDFA Viewer ("the app") is an iOS application developed by Jesús Alfredo Hernández Alarcón that displays your device's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA). This policy explains what data the app accesses, what it does with it, and what it never does.

The short version: the app reads the identifier on your device and shows it to you. It leaves your device only when you copy or share it yourself. The app has no servers and no analytics. The free version shows ads served by Google, and that is the only data that leaves your device on its own.

Data the app accesses

• Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA). Read through Apple's AdSupport framework only after you grant permission in the App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, the identifier is unavailable and the app shows that status instead.
• Tracking authorization status. Whether you have allowed, denied or not yet decided on tracking, so the app can tell you what to do next.

How that data is used

• The identifier is displayed on screen.
• When you tap "Copy to Clipboard", it is placed on your device's clipboard. Where it goes from there is up to you and the apps you paste it into.
• When you tap "Share IDFA", it is handed to the iOS share sheet. The app you pick receives it under that app's own privacy policy.
• The app does not store the identifier, does not send it to the developer, and does not send it to any third party.

Advertising

The free version shows ads served by the Google Mobile Ads SDK. Before any ad is requested, the app asks for your consent through Google's User Messaging Platform where the law requires it. Depending on your choices and on your App Tracking Transparency decision, ads are personalized or not.

To serve ads, the SDK sends Google data such as your device's IP address (used to estimate a coarse location), device and advertising identifiers, interactions with the ads, and crash and diagnostic information. This is described in Google's privacy policy and in the App Store privacy section of the app.

What the app never does

• No data is transmitted to the developer.
• No analytics or tracking SDKs are included beyond the advertising SDK described above.
• No data is sold, rented, or used for profiling by the developer.
• No account is required and none is created.

Your control

• You can revoke tracking permission at any time in Settings, under Privacy & Security, then Tracking. The app will then show the identifier as unavailable.
• You can reset your IDFA at any time in Settings, under Privacy & Security, then Apple Advertising.
• Deleting the app removes everything it kept on the device.

Children

The app is a utility for developers and marketers and is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this same address with an updated effective date.
